Pauline's Myeloma Challenge 2020

For the SAMPS 2020 Myeloma Challenge, Rick and I decided to challenge ourselves to walk a minimum of 10,000 steps for each of the 7 days of the challenge. We chose this goal as we both like to be active in a variety of ways.

This week we golfed, walked in Fish Creek and hiked to achieve an average of 13,064 steps per day. Wildlife spotted included deer, an immature eagle, osprey, chipmunks, and we had a warbler that flew onto Rick's hand (unfortunately our camera was on his hip and we could not capture the picture).

We were very pleased to raise over $2,600 for Myeloma research. Overall the Challenge has raised almost $46,500!* Both are awesome results! Thank you to all of our supporters as we could not have done this without you!

*Total at time of story submission. Final amounts are over $56,000.
